Watercolor and Pen. I wanted to base this illustration on simplicity and serenity. The colors should melt your worries away and large space the surrounds the bird gives an airy peaceful feeling.

Title: Bleeding Blue 2011

New illustration of mixed media and watercolor. I entered this illustration into the MVCC ALUMNI show.

I was inspired by the pure emotion that this elderly man is expressing/and or lacking. His eyes are piercing. There is an abundant array of color and wonder going on all around him and he fails to see the beauty in life and instead hides and stays unawakened in a lonely spirit.
